About Angela

Assistant Teacher for the 2’s Class at SCBNS

Angela Gentile brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Scarsdale Community Baptist Nursery School (SCBNS), where she has been a valued team member since 2023. With over 30 years in the field of education, Angela has honed her skills across a broad spectrum of educational environments, from preschool to higher education. Her extensive experience includes roles as a preschool teacher, elementary and middle school educator, and an English tutor at Lehman College, showcasing her adaptability and commitment to lifelong learning.

Angela’s diverse background spans both private and public institutions, reflecting her versatility and dedication to reaching students of all ages and backgrounds. Her passion for education is further evidenced by her volunteer work as a Religion teacher at Saint Barnabas Elementary School and as a Teacher of Conformity of Christian Doctrine (C.C.D), where she has imparted religious education to numerous public-school students.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and Sociology from Lehman College and is credentialed with multiple New York State teacher certifications, including the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) certification. These qualifications underscore her commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and enriching learning environment for every child.

Outside of her professional life, Angela enjoys engaging in puzzles, crochet, and reading, activities that reflect her love for creativity and intellectual challenge. She cherishes spending quality time with her family through travel and lively game nights, bringing a sense of warmth and community that she shares with her students.
